Experience the extraordinary heritage and artistry, rich culture and incredible diversity of India!
We begin in another world of extremes, Dubai, to explore this vibrant city balanced between the futuristic and ancient, allowing us to acclimatize and journey in easy stages. While there we will tour both the metropolis and head off the beaten track to enjoy an evening on the dunes in a traditional-style Bedouin campsite.
Then it's one adventure after another as we fly to Delhi, and after exploring that, on to Udaipur. Later we'll cruise on Lake Pichola, take a jaunt by elephant, participate in a scenic game drive in Ranthambore Park, train to Bharatpur for the Taj, Agra Fort, and theItmad-ud-Daula tomb. Our next train takes us to Jhansi and the exquisite temples of Khajuraho, next we fly to sacred Varanasi, where we can witness the ceremonies at waterside and cruise along the Ganges, before finally flying back to Delhi and later home. Throughout we will enjoy enlightening and engaging tours of historic centres and monuments with local guides, and unique opportunities to engage with the wonderful people and culture this incredible country offers!
